painting with a twist.

 

last friday i went to painting with a twist. have y'all heard of it? its a little byob painting lesson that you can attend solo, on a date, or with girlfriends. there is an online calendar showing which paintings are going to be taught each day and you simply sign up and pay online and show up with a bottle of wine.

i have been wanting to do this for ages and finally got around to choosing a day to go. the man and i went to paint the "cobblestone walk". it was really fun and exciting to see a painting come together from a blank canvas. i cannot stress enough how you need to go into this with an open mind and just have fun with it. neither of our paintings are perfect by any means (probably because it is a tad bit harder to pay attention the further the lesson goes and the emptier your bottle of wine gets :)) but we had a ton of fun and i can't help but be proud of my painting! it is going to live in my bathroom.
